Actress Anne Hathaway Jewelry Confiscated

Anne Hathaway’s jewelry was recovered from ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri.

Anne Hathaway jewelry confiscated by the FBI. The jewelry belonging to actress Anne Hathaway is now up for auction after it was confiscated in 2008. Anne Hathaway’s former boyfriend was apparently a con artist who had the jewelry on him at the time of his arrest.

The U.S. attorney for the Southern District issued a motion demanding that all personal items Hathaway received from ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, be permanently relinquished to the United States government. In June 2008 the Italian con artist was arrested on fraud charges for reportedly swindling investors out of millions of dollars. In October 2008, Follieri pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

Hathaway, 27, does have time to appeal. All the confiscated items will be auctioned online for 30 days beginning December 12. However, the actress has declined, an indication that she just wants this chapter behind her.

The items up for auction include a $25,000 gold Rolex watch, a pair of silver diamond earrings, a silver chain with a cross pendant, two gold ring, a five-strand pearl necklace and a Louis Vuitton box. Additionally, Hathaway has declined the offer to bid on the items. Hathaway and Follieri split prior to his arrest.

Anne Hathaway to play in new Cinderella story

Anne Hathaway currently report stepping into a new Cinderella story. – She will appear in the film adaptation of David Nicholls’ popular novel “One Day” about a working-class woman’s romance with a charming rich man, played by Jim Sturgess.

Movie will begins filming this summer. and will be directed by Lone Scherfig, an Oscar nominee for “An Education.”

The project was announced Tuesday by Focus Features and Random House Films, which have a partnership.

“One Day” was a No. 1 best-seller in England. It was released Tuesday as a paperback by Vintage Books, an imprint of Random House, Inc.

US government wants to keep Anne Hathaway’s jewelry

Radaronline Exclusive report that The United States government wants to keep Anne Hathaway’s jewelry.

U.S. attorney for the Southern District filed a motion May 13th requesting personal items seized from Anne Hathaway’s ex-fiance, Raffaello Follieri, be permanently forfeited from the convicted con man and become the permanent property of Uncle Sam.

Follieri was arrested in June 2008 on fraud charges for allegedly fleecing investors out of millions of dollars in a scheme involving purchasing Catholic Church properties in the U.S. for redevelopment.

At the time, the FBI raided a storage facility rented by Follieri, as well as his Fifth Avenue apartment, and seized multiple items, including expensive watches, clocks and jewelry.

“All jewelry, watches, and other items recovered in or about August 2008 from an individual who received them from the defendant, which includes the following: One gold colored Rolex watch; One silver colored Rolex watch; One gold colored ring with light blue-green stone; One silver colored chain approximately sixteen inches long with a cross pendant and blue and clear stones;

One pair of colored silver earrings with silver clasps and blue and clear stones; One gold colored ring with clear stones around the band; One silver colored bracelet with floral design and light blue and clear stones; One silver colored bracelet with clear stones; One silver colored necklace approximately sixteen inches long with five flower shaped designs and clear stones; One five-strand necklace approximately sixteen inches long with pearl beads; One gold colored chain approximately thirty-two inches long with a gold colored pendant with a red-brown stone and a gold colored tassel; and One Louis Vuitton box.”

Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart have allegedly joined the race to secure the lead role in Sony’s remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

An Education’s Carey Mulligan has repeatedly been linked to the part of a bisexual hacker who teams up with a disgraced journalist to solve a decades old disappearance case. However, a series of other A-list actresses are now believed to be courting the part.

According to Deadline, Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska, Keira Knightley, Olivia Thirlby and Scarlett Johannsen have also expressed an interest in starring in director David Fincher’s thriller. Mulligan has reportedly gone as far as taking out the film’s writer and producer Steve Zallian for lunch.

An insider has claimed that Fincher “is not sure if he wants to go with an actress of any note or go with an unknown”. The source added: “David’s process is very specific and private. He’s looking for authenticity and a degree of fierceness and believability capable of delivering the intensity that the part on the page calls for.”

Sony has allegedly offered the lead male role to Fincher’s Se7en star Brad Pitt and is awaiting an answer.

Anne Hathaway’s new boyfriend accused of theft

A contractor in New York’s Meatpacking District has accused Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend, Adam Shulman, of stealing a large graffiti mural.

Poor Anne Hathaway does not have the best track record when it comes to boyfriends. Her ex, Raffaello Follieri, was sent to jail for scamming millions of dollars from unsuspecting investors who believed that the conman was connected to the Vatican.

It seems her new boyfriends crimes might be a little less technical.

H &H Builders President, Ken Hart, claims that Shulman and another male carted the makeshift wooden canvas by street artists Mr. Brainwash away from under the construction site barrier.

The crime allegedly happened last Sunday, Mother’s Day. This is quite fitting as the piece of graffiti featured a fat man, quite similar to Alfred Hitchcock holding a Happy Mother’s Day sign.

Hart told the New York Post “If he brings me back the art, it’s over. But if he doesn’t, I’m going to the police to report it stolen!”

Neither Hathaway nor Shulman have commented on the matter.

Hathaway was desperate to work with Burton

Hollywood beauty Anne Hathaway was so keen to work with Tim Burton in his modern retelling of Lewis Carrol’s Alice In Wonderland that she would not have minded playing a “mushroom” in the movie.

The Devil Wears Prada star said she was tired of being the “pretty girl” onscreen but was delighted when Burton offered her the character of The White Queen, the Contactmusic reported.

“I worked only two weeks on the movie so I decided to approach each day with absolute and unflappable gratitude that I was there and not let any nerves get in my way,” Hathaway said.

“I would have played a mushroom if Tim had asked me. I wouldn’t have even needed to speak! It was just about getting some time to spend with Tim and getting to be a part of his world, but happily he asked me to play the White Queen and guided me through this interpretation that I think is kind of a little irreverent and a little left of centre,” the actress said.

“I’ve learned a lot from them. I just keep getting hired. I consider myself lucky and I don’t know who is responsible for it.”
